The aim is simple: prepare images for HueForge intentionally instead of randomly dragging contrast sliders and hoping the print rescues the details.

Keep faces, pets and important features readable instead of allowing them to collapse into a single dark tonal region.
Simplify what does not matter
Reduce background competition, huge black areas and unnecessary texture so limited filament colours are spent where they matter.
Work toward repeatable profiles
Illustrated Poster, Graphic Novel, Soft Cinematic and Minimal Relief are the kinds of controlled preparation styles this workflow is being designed around.
