GAMES // APPS // INTERACTIVE EXPERIMENTS

PLAY: experiments you can actually play.

Small browser games and interactive experiments built, tested and released when they become useful or fun enough to escape the lab.

WHY ARE THERE GAMES ON A 3D-PRINTING SITE?

It started with an ankle injury and a maths game.

My son was sidelined with an ankle injury and suddenly had more sitting-still time than either of us particularly enjoyed. I wondered whether maths practice could feel less like maths practice if the maths was really just the weapon system in an arcade game.

That became Maths Asteroids. Then the same idea wandered sideways into Word Hunt and Sudoku, while Times Table Turbo pushed the maths-first idea onto a racetrack. The common thread is the same one behind the printers and customisers: take an idea, use the tools available, test it with a real person and keep pulling until it becomes something useful or fun.

D4Maker is still anchored in making physical things, but the lab is allowed to produce pixels as well as plastic.

GAME LAB // EIGHT GAME FAMILIES // TEN PLAYABLE BUILDS

Pick a lane.

Maths Asteroids is fast arcade maths, Times Table Turbo is racing-first multiplication practice, Arrow Atlas is a 3D precision archery tour, Range Master takes that patience to a sporting rifle range, Maker Match is a lightweight flip-and-match memory game, Neon Runner 2100 is a neon action-platformer built from a child-designed concept, Word Hunt is a lightweight word-search game, and Sudoku is the slower logic option when you would rather stare suspiciously at a 3×3 box for five minutes.

Maths Asteroids currently has two public editions because the original and SOL 6.1 builds are intentionally kept side by side as a practical comparison of two development workflows. They are two builds of the same game family, not two unrelated games.

MATHS ASTEROIDS // SIDE-BY-SIDE BUILD COMPARISON

Compare the two Maths Asteroids editions.

The original grew through chat-led iteration. The SOL 6.1 edition builds on the same core game through an agentic Work Mode pass. This is a comparison of two builds and workflows rather than a controlled model benchmark, and each edition keeps its own browser progress.

SOL 6.1 adds separate music and sound-effects controls, sector encounter pacing, clearer equation panels and adaptive rendering modes. The original remains available because the differences are more useful when you can actually play them rather than read a paragraph claiming they exist.

RANGE MASTER // ONE IDEA LED TO ANOTHER

From an arrow to a one-mile shot.

After Arrow Atlas, I wanted to see whether the same quiet rhythm — aim, breathe, read the wind, try again — could work on a sporting rifle range. The first idea was a scenic tour with a few targets. Naturally, that became twenty campaign shoots, ten bonus challenges and a practice range. Apparently I struggle with the word “few”.

The interesting bit turned out to be learning each rifle. A slower round needs more height and more lead; changing weapons means adjusting the shot, rather than just picking a bigger number from a menu. Zero settings and mil marks give you tools to work with, but the wind still has a vote.

Phone testing caught targets disappearing behind scenery and long shots that needed so much holdover the target left the scope. Those became fixes, clearer sights and better wind feedback. Built with AI assistance, tested through actual play and refined one awkward shot at a time.

The practice lanes now run from predictable moving targets at 100 m to a one-mile challenge with campaign-earned rifles. It is still an alpha, with fictional game ballistics, local progress and music off by default. There is plenty to chase, and plenty of room to miss.

TIMES TABLE TURBO // ORIGINAL + ASTRA

Same starting grid. A different engine.

The original Times Table Turbo remains available. Astra is the separate GPT 6 Astra comparison edition: real 3D circuits, modelled cars and scenery, dynamic shadows, glow, a chase camera, continuous engine synthesis and an original adaptive soundtrack. It targets S25 FE-class phones and PC browsers; older-device compatibility is not its design target.

This compares two builds, development approaches and hardware budgets, not a controlled model benchmark. Both retain three-lap races, multiplication gates and the ten-answer LIGHTSPEED win. Astra keeps its own local records.

BROWSER FIRST // LOCAL PROGRESS // LIGHTWEIGHT

Playable without creating an account.

These games are designed to run directly in a modern browser with mouse, keyboard or touch controls where appropriate. Progress is stored locally on the device; there is no game account, ad network or cloud profile behind it.

Maker Match, Word Hunt and Sudoku keep their rendering deliberately simple. Maker Match still exposes graphics modes so older tablets can disable non-essential animation; Times Table Turbo and Maths Asteroids use deeper rendering controls because they do more real-time drawing. Clearing this site's browser storage also clears local game progress and unlocks.

Same workshop. Different materials.

Build, test, iterate and improve — sometimes the thing being made is a browser game. The creative experiments also have a soundtrack.
